The Stars & Métiers 2021 prize is organised by the Chambers of Trades and Crafts and the Banques Populaires. Its aim is to reward and promote excellence and innovation in the craft industry. Be Energy has competed in the ” Export Grand Prix ” category in 2021. This category rewards the company’s ability to expand internationally.

What is the Stars & Métiers BPMED award?

The national Stars & Métiers award has been running since 2007. It is organised in close collaboration between the Banques Populaires network and the Chambers of Trades and Crafts (CMAs). The aim is straightforward: to encourage excellence, boldness and innovation. It is also about highlighting passionate business leaders.
For their part, the Banques Populaires participating in this prize are showing their commitment and taking part in the development of the craft sector. Today, one in three craftsmen is a Banque Populaire customer.
The CMAs (Chambers of Trades and Crafts), for their part, are the main contacts for craftspeople throughout their career. Their aim is to ensure the long-term viability of their members’ businesses, and to optimise their competitiveness and development.

The Grand Export 2021 prize goes to Be Energy, manufacturer of battery regenerators

After several years’ research into building site waste, asbestos, composting and sewage sludge, Bertrand Coste launched Be Energy in 2014. This innovative company, based in Avignon, specialises in regeneration. Battery regeneration is the core business of Bertrand Coste’s company, which is also making progress in oil and engine regeneration.
Be Energy manufactures and regenerates batteries, in particular industrial batteries used in telecommunications. One of the key markets for the Avignon-based company is the African continent, which is experiencing problems with power supply and stability. The major telecoms operators all have backups featuring very large batteries.
Be Energy also regenerates traction batteries, used in particular in the supply chain.
Be Energy is a French company with a strong export focus, since the solutions it offers include turnkey battery regeneration workshops.
Today, Be Energy is responsible for equipping service providers in some 40 countries around the world, mainly in developing countries. In fact, it is in these countries that the greatest needs exist, particularly for stationary batteries. On the African continent alone, Be Energy has equipped 17 countries. Today, there are as many service providers installed in Africa, offering battery regeneration services to telecoms operators.
Be Energy is the only French manufacturer of battery regenerators. Beyond France’s borders, the equipment comes from Korea and the United States, making Be Energy a genuine niche market.
Winning the Stars & Métiers BPMED Export Grand Prix is a further opportunity for Be Energy to showcase its expertise and commitment to regenerating batteries, oils and engines, in the service of French and foreign companies and, above all, in the service of the environment.
