A new battery regeneration capacity now available directly on the Malaysian market.
We are pleased to announce the opening of a new battery regeneration center in Malaysia, based in Kuala Lumpur and operated by our Malaysian partner Expet Control. This opening marks a new step in our international rollout strategy and in the development of our network of battery regeneration centers.
Following the training of the teams and the commissioning of the equipment, the center is now fully operational and has the resources required to handle different types of industrial lead-acid batteries.
The center will initially focus on stationary batteries, before gradually expanding its activities to traction batteries and then starter batteries. This approach will allow Expet Control to adapt its services to the needs of the Malaysian market and progressively develop new areas of activity.
The Kuala Lumpur center will serve as the main base for these activities, with a particular focus on the needs of industry, logistics and critical facilities.
More than 2,000 batteries to launch the activity
The launch of the activity is supported by a major initial industrial requirement, with more than 2,000 stationary batteries to be handled for a leading player in Malaysia’s petrochemical industry.
Given the volume involved and the specific constraints associated with this type of facility, part of the equipment has been temporarily deployed directly at the customer’s site in southern Malaysia. This regeneration corner allows Expet Control to process the battery fleet progressively, as close as possible to the installations, while limiting transport and battery downtime.
This setup makes it possible to adapt the pace of the operations to the site’s operational constraints and to process the fleet progressively, rather than concentrating all the work over a short period. It also provides greater flexibility in organizing the different stages of diagnosis, regeneration and return to service.
The center is launching its activity in a market where demand for battery regeneration is already well established.
For the battery fleet currently being handled in Malaysia, regeneration is the first step. It will then be followed by ongoing monitoring as part of a regular battery maintenance program, in order to track battery performance over time, identify capacity losses and plan interventions before replacement becomes necessary.
With more than 2,000 batteries already involved, the center is starting with a significant volume to process and a clearly identified initial market. This allows the Expet Control teams to immediately apply the methods acquired during their training to a large-scale industrial battery fleet.
A center equipped to handle several types of batteries
To launch its activity, Expet Control is equipped with the standard Be Energy setup for a lead-acid battery regeneration center, sized to cover a broad range of market needs from the outset:
- 2 BRT Master Pro Duo units;
- 2 battery dischargers;
- 1 BRT10;
- 1 QTK.
This configuration provides a versatile base for launching the activity and covers the main stages required for diagnosis, regeneration, controlled discharge and performance testing of the batteries handled by the center.
The equipment is fully operated by the Expet Control teams on behalf of their customers. Be Energy provides the technologies, methods and training required to use the equipment, while our partner manages the day-to-day operation of the center and develops the activity locally on the Malaysian market.
A standard setup sized to cover a broad range of needs from the very start of operations.
The QTK will also support, at a later stage, the development of the activity around starter batteries. The equipment currently installed therefore provides a sufficiently versatile initial capacity to work on the three main categories of lead-acid batteries:
- stationary batteries;
- traction batteries;
- starter batteries.
Kuala Lumpur, the hub for operations in Malaysia
From Kuala Lumpur, Expet Control will develop its activities with new customers across several markets. Stationary batteries and traction batteries will be the two main areas of development, with applications in industry, critical facilities, logistics, material handling, telecommunications, data centers and selected energy infrastructure.
The center’s location in Kuala Lumpur provides a favorable geographic base for expanding the activity across the Malaysian market and reaching the country’s main industrial and logistics hubs efficiently.
The equipment currently installed represents the first stage of the center’s development and can evolve in line with the volumes processed and the new contracts secured by Expet Control. Additional equipment can therefore be added progressively to increase processing capacity, strengthen the stationary and traction battery activities, or support the development of the starter battery market.
Local teams trained in Be Energy methods
Before operations began, the Expet Control teams were trained in the use of the equipment and Be Energy regeneration methods. This training now enables them to handle batteries from the initial diagnosis through to final performance testing, and to operate the center locally and independently.
Beyond mastering the equipment itself, the technicians are trained to assess battery condition, determine eligibility for regeneration and manage the different stages of the treatment process. This transfer of know-how allows Expet Control to develop the activity with its own teams and respond directly to its customers’ needs.
The transfer of know-how enables local teams to operate Be Energy technologies independently.
A new development for battery regeneration in Malaysia
This opening responds to an existing demand on the Malaysian market and gives Expet Control strong development opportunities across stationary batteries, traction batteries and, in the longer term, starter batteries.
With trained teams, operational equipment and a base in Kuala Lumpur, the center now has the foundations in place to develop its activity and support new customers across the country.
For Be Energy, this new center is part of the continued development of our international deployment strategy, making our technologies and know-how available to local partners capable of developing battery regeneration sustainably within their own markets.
Diagnosis, regeneration and maintenance: an approach designed to support batteries throughout their service life.
Why not you?
Be Energy supports both entrepreneurs and business leaders as well as established companies looking to diversify their activities, expand their service offering or develop new expertise in battery regeneration.
From the initial project assessment to the opening of the center, we provide the technologies, know-how and tools needed to launch the activity under the right conditions. Teams are trained and supported so they can quickly become autonomous in operating the center.
Once the center is operational, our support continues to help develop the activity, expand its capabilities and respond to new opportunities in the local market.
To go further…
What are the requirements for opening a Be Energy center?
The project is sized according to the local market, target volumes and the battery technologies to be handled. Be Energy supports each partner throughout project preparation, installation and commissioning of the center.
Do you need to already be an expert in battery regeneration?
No, teams are trained in the technologies, regeneration methods and operation of the center. Tools and technical support also remain available after the center opens.
Can the center evolve as the business grows?
Yes, the center can start with a configuration suited to the first markets identified and then integrate additional equipment. Its processing capacity and the battery technologies handled can therefore evolve in line with volumes and business opportunities.
