Be Energy had the honor of participating in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025 in Las Vegas from January 7 to 10. Selected by Business France and Région Sud – Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, with support from Rising Sud, the company showcased its PTS 800, a groundbreaking innovation designed to enhance the safety of lithium battery reconditioning for small mobility applications (electric bikes, scooters). This global event provided a unique opportunity to demonstrate its expertise, engage with industry leaders, and explore new markets.
The PTS 800: A revolution in lithium battery handling
The PTS 800 Secure Workstation is an advanced device engineered to ensure safe handling of lithium batteries. Equipped with cutting-edge sensors, augmented reality, and an automated anomaly detection system, it actively prevents thermal runaway and explosion risks, ensuring optimal safety.
By continuously monitoring critical battery parameters, the PTS 800 reacts immediately to any irregularity, automatically ejecting the battery into a water containment system in case of overheating or anomalies. Designed with ergonomic enhancements, it also improves technician comfort and efficiency. As lithium batteries become increasingly integral to electric mobility and energy storage, this innovation addresses a critical industrial safety need.
Enhanced visibility and strategic meetings at CES Las Vegas
During CES 2025, Be Energy connected with key industry players, including Renault, EDF, Jifmar Group, and Software Republic (Orange, Dassault, Renault, JC Decaux). These strategic meetings initiated potential collaborations and provided valuable market insights regarding lithium battery regeneration and safety expectations.
Be Energy’s participation also attracted significant media attention, with interviews featured in BFM TV, La Tribune, La Provence, Maddyness, and other French and American outlets. The company was even featured in the official CES podcast. This increased visibility reinforced Be Energy’s international credibility, highlighting its commitment to safer, more sustainable industrial solutions.
A step toward the U.S. market
CES 2025 provided Be Energy with a strategic platform to evaluate its global expansion potential. The Avignon-based company received interest from investment funds and entered discussions with major European, American, and Korean industrial groups to establish strategic partnerships.
With the U.S. market experiencing a growing demand for safe lithium battery management solutions, interest from American companies further validates Be Energy’s approach and opens doors for expansion in this critical region.
France: a leading force in innovation at CES 2025
With 150 French startups present, France once again stood out at CES 2025. The Sud – Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, backed by Rising Sud, played a key role in showcasing regional innovations and facilitating connections with global decision-makers.
This year’s event underscored the growing impact of French startups in clean technologies and the energy transition. With solutions like the PTS 800, Be Energy is helping position France as a leader in sustainable industrial innovation.
A strong commitment to the energy transition
By extending the lifespan of lithium batteries and promoting responsible resource management, the PTS 800 actively contributes to reducing carbon footprints. Reconditioning just one ton of batteries prevents up to eight tons of CO2 emissions, marking a major step toward sustainable mobility.
This approach aligns with a circular economy model, minimizing industrial waste while maximizing existing resources. Battery regeneration offers a cost-effective, eco-friendly alternative to recycling, reducing expenses and environmental impact simultaneously.
What’s next?
Following this successful experience, Be Energy and its directors, Bertrand Coste and Mickael Balondrade, remain committed to global expansion and industry-wide adoption of battery regeneration. The company continues to innovate and file new patents, ensuring cutting-edge solutions tailored to manufacturers prioritizing energy security and sustainability.
