LEAD-ACID BATTERIES
What is a lead-acid battery?
The lead-acid battery is a battery that uses lead for its electrodes as the main material and sulfuric acid as the electrolyte.
Because of their reliability, affordability and ability to provide a constant power supply over a long period, these batteries are commonly used in a variety of fields.
There are 3 types of lead-acid batteries:
- Starting battery, used to power engine starting: cars, motorcycles, trucks, boats, etc.
- Traction battery, designed to provide constant power over an extended period, used for electric material handling equipment, golf vehicles, emergency power systems, some boats, etc.
- Stationary battery, intended for fixed installation, the stationary battery is designed to store energy. It is used as a solar and wind energy storage system, for emergency power, telecommunications, etc.

How do I know if my lead-acid battery needs regenerating?
- Incomplete charge/discharge cycles;
- A high temperature;
- Too high a sulfuric acid concentration, etc.
How Be Energy regenerates your lead-acid battery
Our battery regeneration machines
At BeEnergy, we have developed a complete range of BRT regenerators (BRT10, BRT Maxi Gold, BRT Master Pro Duo) as well as a rapid diagnostic tool (QUICK TESTER KIOSK / QTK) to cover the entire life cycle of lead-acid batteries.
Our machines can efficiently regenerate starter, traction, and stationary batteries, restoring their charge capacity and extending their service life, while reducing the need to purchase new batteries and ensuring reliable availability for your operations.
The QTK provides reliable and rapid diagnostics, ensuring that only recoverable batteries undergo regeneration. This equipment offers a professional, reliable, and environmentally friendly solution, reducing waste and the costs associated with battery replacement.
Who can benefit from regenerating their lead-acid battery?
Lead-acid battery regeneration is for all sectors that depend on the reliability of their electrical equipment: industry, logistics, services, healthcare, agriculture, and many others.
By restoring the performance of starter, traction, or stationary batteries, this solution extends their service life, improves machine availability, and reduces maintenance costs. Whether it’s preventing wear before it occurs or giving a battery at the end of its cycle a second life, Be Energy adapts its expertise to every professional need.
At Be Energy, we offer two types of regeneration for professionals, in order to provide you with a service tailored to your needs.
2 options:
Preventive regeneration
By regenerating the battery at the very beginning of its life, you ensure that you always have trucks in working order, doubling or tripling its life and reducing your purchases of new batteries.
Carried out on your premises (or at Be Energy)
Regeneration in just a few hours
Systematic monthly battery check (to limit breakdowns)
Doubled or even tripled battery life, depending on use and modelCurative regeneration
We regenerate your battery when it’s at the end of its life, so it can be used again for the same purpose, for the same lifespan, with the same warranty, and at a lower cost.
Made at the Be Energy factory
Requires several days of processing
No monthly control
Shorter battery life than with preventive regeneration

The benefits of regenerating lead-acid batteries
1 tonne of regenerated lead battery = 3 tonnes of CO2 saved.

50% less waste
By regenerating your lead batteries, you reduce the amount of waste associated with the disposal of used batteries.
Regeneration allows you to reuse your lead-acid battery without any change of use.

50% less expensive
Lower your operating costs with regeneration. A more economical option than buying a new battery. See more about the cost of a remanufactured battery and the potential savings.

Preserving natural resources
You save natural resources by avoiding the production of new batteries and the extraction of raw materials.

50 to 70 times less carbon
The manufacture of new batteries and the recycling of used ones is associated with very significant CO2 emissions. By reusing your batteries, you reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
