A new battery regeneration center has opened in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The project is led by three leading partners who founded Be Energy South Africa. Then the development is done in joint venture type associations according to the market profile and/or the location of the market.
This first center was established with ABBEC, a company specializing in the construction and maintenance of data centers in South Africa.
The potential is enormous, considering that each data center contains between 2,000 and 15,000 backup batteries that must be replaced on a fixed calendar date.
Curative and preventive regeneration services are being considered, as well as offering disruptive battery leasing solutions, which would represent a clear shift towards a functional economy model.
The traction battery market is also very dynamic, with players owning more than 15,000 batteries!
Starter batteries will also be addressed through a local corner model with major players in the automotive industry.
NiMH batteries for hybrid vehicles are also very present, with local needs expressed by the Toyota group, which has a strong presence in South Africa.
We will do everything possible to support the development of Be Energy South Africa in its growth objective in the sub-region!
Welcome to the Be Energy network!
